CISAT: Certified Information Security Awareness Trainer
This 2-day course is designed for staff responsible for information security and more specifically security awareness. The attendant will receive a fundamental background on information security and will be guided in designing, building and implementing a security awareness program in a workshop-like course. The course material contains practical additional information that will assist the attendants to quickly jump start their own security awareness program.
Intended Audience:
Participants who have the need for a strong understanding of information security in general with the responsibility of maintaining the information security program in their organization. This would include persons such as Information Security Administrators, Information Security Analysts, Information Security Managers, Internal Compliance Staff, Security Integrators, etc.
Exam:
Attendees will take a 1 hour Certified Information Security Awareness Trainer exam. The exam is a 28 questions, closed book, multiple choice exam. The passing mark is 20 out of 28. Attendees passing the exam will be awarded the internationally accredited and recognized “Certified Information Security Awareness Trainer” certificate (CISAT).
The CISAT certificate is valid for 3 years, after which 1-day refresher and a 1-hour exam will be required to maintain the CISAT certification standing.
Alternatively the certificate renewal can be accomplished by obtaining CPE’s (Continuing Professional Education). More information on qualifying CPE’s will be available upon certification.
